Builders Class Schedule

North Shore Studios hosts classes in a wide variety of movement, theater, business, wood working, metal working, 3d printing and other mind/body growing arts.

Once we move we will coordinate teachers, classes and students and publish our first class schedule (August 1st).

Intro to Cabinet Design

This course teaches basic cabinet making, utilizing both table saw/router and CNC router power tool construction. It also covers design best practices, assembly and installation.

Intro to CNC Routing

The class covers the basics of CNC routing, including the use of CAD/CAM software, G-Code programming, and the operation of CNC routers. Students will learn how to design parts using CAD/CAM software, output tooling paths to G-Code, and operate a CNC router to produce accurate parts with decreased risk of error. The class may also cover topics such as the cartesian coordinate system, G-Code commands, and the CNC process overview.

Intro To Sign Making

Students will learn the basics of sign design, including the use of CAD/CAM software, creating tooling paths, and operating a CNC router to produce custom signs. The class may cover topics such as selecting the appropriate materials, tooling, and finishing techniques for different types of signs. By the end of the class, students will have the knowledge and skills to create basic signs or picture frames using entry-level desktop/tabletop CNC machines

Intro to Welding

An intro class on 3D printing provides a comprehensive introduction to the basic principles of 3D printing and its various applications. Students will learn about the technology behind 3D printing, different types of 3D printing methods, and the basics of 3D modeling. The class also includes learning to slice models and actually doing 3D prints. Students will have the opportunity to engage in hands-on lab exercises and learn the basics of 3D CAD modeling
